A till that knows your stock, your customers and your M-Pesa.

Kensync POS is a business management system, not just a till. It connects checkout to inventory, purchasing, customers, branches, reporting and M-Pesa payments.

What it covers

Everything a trading business needs to see in one place.

Each capability below is part of the Kensync POS codebase. Availability for your deployment is confirmed during a demonstration.

Checkout and sales

A front-counter screen built for speed, with a record behind every sale.

  • Cart with split payments across cash, card, mobile money and bank transfer
  • Itemised, printable receipts with sequential invoice numbers
  • Draft sales you can resume or discard later
  • Voiding of completed sales with a required reason, reversing stock

Products and inventory

Know what you have, where it is and how it moved.

  • Product catalogue with SKUs, categories, prices and tax rates
  • Stock tracked per branch, with reorder levels and low-stock views
  • Full stock movement history, with manual adjustments recorded as entries

Suppliers and purchasing

Order, receive and cost stock in one flow.

  • Supplier records and purchase orders
  • Partial deliveries received against an order
  • Stock and product cost updated when goods arrive

Customers and credit

Keep credit sales visible instead of lost in a notebook.

  • Customer records and sales history
  • A part-paid sale must have a customer attached, so balances never go untracked
  • Receivables view with ageing and a payment record for every settlement

Reporting

Financial visibility without exporting everything to a spreadsheet first.

  • Sales overview by day, hour, payment method and cashier
  • Itemised sales, product performance and inventory valuation
  • Receivables ageing and purchase spend by supplier
  • CSV export and print-ready reports, with Nairobi-time day boundaries

Branches and access control

Run more than one location with the right people seeing the right things.

  • Multiple branches with their own stock and invoice sequences
  • Staff accounts with configurable role-based permissions
  • Audit log of important actions

M-Pesa integration

M-Pesa STK Push, built to record only money that actually arrived.

The cashier enters the customer’s number and the customer approves the payment on their phone. The sale is updated only when Safaricom confirms the payment, never when the prompt is merely sent.

How it protects your records

  • Confirmation is checked through several independent paths, so a missed callback does not lose a payment
  • A confirmed payment is applied to the sale exactly once
  • Every attempt, with its outcome, is listed on a dedicated M-Pesa screen
  • Duplicate prompts for the same sale are blocked within a short window

Going live: the integration uses Safaricom Daraja. Taking live payments requires your own Safaricom shortcode and the relevant Safaricom approvals, which we can guide you through.

Optional add-on

A shared WhatsApp inbox linked to your customer records.

Kensync POS includes a shared customer inbox built on the official WhatsApp Business Cloud API. Conversations can be linked to customers automatically when a phone number matches exactly one customer, assigned to staff, annotated with internal notes and tied to an invoice.

This feature depends on a WhatsApp Business account set up with Meta, and follows WhatsApp’s 24-hour rule for free-form replies. Message templates and proactive notifications are not part of it yet.
